it was time to make a couple of changes....our pillows were getting tired....and we needed a pair of ottomans for our club chairs (we only had one before it was always high in demand!) I've been pondering over "the look" for at least 2 years....i can NEVER make design decisions for myself! a few weeks ago, i decided to bite the bullet.....i went to my fabric library, and picked my favorite fabrics and went to work. i rolled the dice and it paid off............im REALLY excited about the results! two ottomans and 7 pillows later, we have a fresh new space again...come take a look!

1) COLOR! KITCHENS CAN BE A LITTLE MONOCHROMATIC....A GOOD RUG CAN LIVEN IT UP!
2) WARMTH... SINCE KITCHENS HAVE SO MANY HARD SURFACES, YOU CAN CREATE A GOOD BALANCE SIMPLY BY ADDING A RUG.
3) FORGIVING....TYPICALLY, AND OLD ORIENTAL HAS BUSY PATTERNS...WHO CARES IF SOMETHING SPILLS ON IT...IF THE RUG IS DARK ENOUGH, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SEE IT!

NOVEMBER: COMING HOME
I KNOW ITS NOT FOR A FEW WEEKS, BUT NOW THAT ITS NOVEMBER, IM GETTING PSYCHED FOR THE HOLIDAYS! EVERY THANKSGIVING WE HEAD 90 MILES NORTHEAST TO RICHMOND, VA....AND SEE LOSTS OF RELATIVES / FRIENDS AND EAT A TON OF FOOD! THESE IMAGES GET ME EXCITED ABOUT THE THOUGHT OF COMING TO AN INVITING HOME.....
