QUICK TRIP TO CHARLESTON, SC!
my quick trip to Charleston with my sister...a little work and a lotta play, was jam packed with TOTAL fun-thanks to our host, fun cousin Lee! lee picks me up from the airport and before i know it, I'm talking on the phone to his former colleague Naomi and her boyfriend Craig from Southern Charm....then he takes us to a furniture warehouse sale that JD is throwing...got an AWESOME mirror for $10 and drank some Gentry Bourbon from bourbon masters JD and Dan.....and wouldn't you know that every restaurant and bar we hit, we walked in feeling like VIP rockstars!!! so many thanks to fun cousin lee (because he knows EVERYBODY and everyone LOVES him!) DARLING OYSTER BAR , HALLS CHOP HOUSE AND SERMETS!!!!
I LOVE THIS TOWN and every singe pretty house in it!!!!
THANK YOU FUN COUSIN LEE!!!!!! you want to hang with fun cousin lee too? come buy a house from him and he'll take you out for the night of your life!
REDGATE MASTER BATH: BEFORE AND AFTER
BEFORE, THIS MASTER BATH WAS DATED, HAD AN AWKWARD LAYOUT, AND WAS EXPOSED TO THE MASTER BEDROOM. WE NEEDED TO CREATE A MORE ATTRACTIVE TRANSITION FROM THE BEDROOM TO THE BATH THAT MORE OFFERED PRIVACY. WE ALSO NEEDED AN EFFICIENT USE OF SPACE INCLUDING A WATER CLOSET, DOUBLE VANITY, LINEN CLOSET, AND WALK IN CLOSET. HERE'S THE BEFORE:

REDGATE MASTER BEDROOM: BEFORE AND AFTER
THIS IS A BIG OLE BEAUTIFUL HOUSE AND NEEDED A MASTER BEDROOM / BATHROOM REVAMP! THE HOMEOWNERS LOVE THE EXPOSED BRICK AT THE FIREPLACE BUT DIDNT KNOW HOW TO SHOW IT OFF AND HAVE IT LOOK FINISHED. THEY ALSO NEEDED LOTS OF FURNISHINGS....BUT WE DID HAVE A GORGEOUS RUST COLORED SOFA AND A MULTICOLORED ORIENTAL RUG! SO HERE'S THE PLAN....WE NEED RICH COLORS TO COMPLIMENT THE BRICK....AND THE ORIENTAL RUG PROVIDED THE PERFECT COLOR PALETTE!

I HATE MATCHY MATCHY SO WE MIXED FINISHES....WE CHOSE A BLACK BED TO GROUND THE ROOM...BUT THE STAINED CANING COORDINATES WITH THE NEW BEDSIDE TABLES. WE ALSO HAVE A BLACK TV CABINET ACROSS FROM THE BED. MY CUSTOMERS SOFA AND ART FITS IN GREAT!

Magnolia Dining Room: Before and After
these happy homeowners were PSYCHED to tackle the dining room! the draperies and paint color was left over from the previous owner and they were ready to make the room their own. on the agenda: REDO EVERYTHING!
we need: a much bigger rug that won't show ANYTHING!....a WAY lighter palette, casual COMFORTABLE everyday furnishings, updated lighting, and good COLOR transition from the neighboring spaces.
